Thanks to all of the musicians in our new electrified string trio, The Diddy Wah Diddy’s, who added so much to our show this past February at the Stoughton Opera house in Stoughton, WI, and the crew that helped us pull off the biggest production we’ve ever put together!   There were theatrics, stage sets and props, costume changes, new tunes and even a ghost that joined us for the show (or so we’ve heard).  Check out our short compilation video from that performance (especially if you’re a booking agent or promoter).  Coming to an Opera House near you!  Mary and I also had a fun show at The Jefferson in Spring Green for the Shitty Barn’s Season Announce event and you can see some fresh pics from that concert (courtesy of photographer, Nath Dresser) and the Stoughton Opera House show (courtesy of photographer, Jentri Colello) in our photo gallery at the bottom of our homepage.  Other recent highlights are a delightful mini-tour to the Driftless Area in Wisconsin’s picturesque SW including a show with guitar-wizard, Willy Porter, at Leo & Leona’s east of La Crosse, and shows with Iowa Blues Hall of Famer, Robert ‘One-Man’ Johnson, at The Tavern in Prairie du Chien and Driftless Books & Music in Viroqua.  Very special thanks to our friends at WDRT in Viroqua for the warm welcome during the spring snow!

Upcoming Summer Highlights:  We’ll be doing another show with Willy on June 8 at The Barn in LaGrange, WI (see our schedule) as well as a special concert on June 7 in Mt Vernon, IA at Mount Vernon Creates and back to the Driftless Area on June 21 to play for our loyal listeners in Richland Center, WI for our annual Boarding House Antiques concert–BYOB, picnic and lawn-chairs!   Our friend and fiddle phenom, Randy Sabien, will be joining us for a post Jazz at Five concert at the Brink Lounge on Wed. Aug 7 and we’ll be joining Randy the next night (8/8) for a concert in the bandshell at Sinnissippi Park in Rockford, IL, and our globe-trotting troubadour friend, Josh Harty, at the Shitty Barn in Spring Green WI the following evening, Aug. 9.

We still plan on getting back in the studio this summer to start our next audio and video production and will be posting soon about a crowd-sourcing campaign to help us with advance funding.  We couldn’t do what we do without your continued support, so thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!

All the Best!  Chris & Mary
